It's worth noting that a password or passphrase that scores "weak" or "reasonable" using this password test could be a valid password for some applications where security is of less concern (ie. not banking.)
About Passwords
Choosing A Password
A strong password should be between 8 and 14 characters. It should include letters and numbers, preferably mixed together. Mispellings strengthen passwords, too, and make them more memorable. For instance, a strong password could be "t3chn0loggy" because it contains mispellings with both letters and numbers and is easily remembered.
Many security experts suggest using passphrases instead of passwords. The same techniques of using numbers mixed in with letters applies to passphrases, the only differences is that you remember an entire phrase instead of just a word or two. An example would be "g3o0rgeg0essgr33n" since it is three words with intentional mispellings and contains both letters and numbers.
