Where to Find Help
Generally, the first reaction when encountering a computer problem is one of exasperation and frustration. Before you end up pounding the keyboard or mouse, remember there are several options for receiving support.
Listed below, in order of preference, are the support options here at Washington College.
Help Menu
Virtually all Windows and Mac programs offer a Help menu. There you will find easy to use options and indices to all of the features of that particular application. Many even offer a "Wizard" and will walk you through the solution, step by step.Support Web Site
For more complex questions regarding the use of an application, you may need to go to a publisher's web site and view their support section. Many applications provide a link to the web site under the Help menu within the program itself. The Answers page is usually a good place to start.Technical Consultant
The computer labs will have Student Technical Consultants assigned during public access hours. The technical consultants are there to assist you with any computer related questions.HelpDesk
